May 2025: Celebrating Charlotte Noyes, Our Artist of the Month

We are thrilled to announce Charlotte Noyes as our Artist of the Month for May 2025! Charlotte’s exhibit at the Refuge’s Visitor Center (6 Plum Island Turnpike, Newburyport, MA 01950) features stunning photographs of Plum Island and its wildlife, reflecting her lifelong connection to this special place.

Charlotte’s passion for photography grew from her experiences as a bird watcher, leading her to over twenty years of capturing the beauty of nature through her lens. While she calls Carmel, California home for most of the year, Plum Island holds a special place in her heart. In 2011, she and her husband purchased her grandfather’s cottage on Melody Lane, making Plum Island her summer home. This exhibit is especially meaningful as it is dedicated to the memory of her sister, Lisen Ruth Noyes, who also cherished Plum Island.

Don’t miss the opportunity to experience Charlotte’s beautiful work, showcasing her unique perspective on Plum Island’s natural wonders. The Visitor Center is open every day of the week from 9 am – 4 pm, subject to volunteer availability.
