Spring is Coming and So Are the Birds! Learn About Spring Migration with David Williams

Spring is just around the corner, and that means one of the most exciting times for birdwatchers is nearly here: spring migration! Get ready to welcome the avian jewels that will soon be filling the skies and trees of Parker River National Wildlife Refuge.

Join the Friends of Parker River National Wildlife Refuge and the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge Complex for an informative and engaging presentation, “Spring is Coming and So Are the Birds,” led by renowned birding expert David Williams.

What to Expect

David will guide you through the colorful world of songbirds that either breed in our area or pass through on their northward journey. You’ll learn about:

  • Thrushes
  • Vireos
  • Orioles
  • Flycatchers
  • …and more than 20 species of Warblers!

Discover strategies for finding and identifying these beautiful birds, many of which are only here for a short time. Don’t miss this opportunity to prepare for the spectacular spring migration!

How to Attend: This event will be held both in person at the Visitor Center Auditorium and via Zoom. Registration is not required for in-person attendance.
