Open Mic Poetry Event: “The Plum of Islands—Poetry Project”
Join us for a special Open Mic Poetry Event, “The Plum of Islands—Poetry Project,” sponsored by the Friends of Parker River National Wildlife Refuge! Come celebrate the beauty of nature and birding through poetry, where writers and poets of all ages are invited to share their original works. Whether you’re a seasoned poet or just getting started, we welcome you to join the fun!

- Location: Parker River NWR Visitor Center Auditorium
6 Plum Island Turnpike, Newburyport, MA 01950 - Admission: Free!
Event Guidelines:
- Poems must be related to birding, nature preservation, or conservation.
- Poems about Parker River NWR are preferred.
- Open to writers of all ages.
- Poems should be original creations and not excessive in length (1 page or less).
- Please bring copies of your poems to share.
- Space is limited to 20 poets.
- Poets may read a second poem if time permits.
