Celebrate Spring with Oksana Zotkina’s Art at Parker River!
Spring is in the air, and so is the vibrant artistry of Oksana Zotkina! We’re thrilled to welcome Oksana back to the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge as our featured Artist of the Month for April 2025.
Oksana’s captivating oil paintings, created primarily en plein air, beautifully capture the essence of nature’s beauty. Her landscapes, seascapes, and animal portraits reflect a profound love for color, light, and the natural world around us. With roots in Odessa, Ukraine, Oksana’s artistic journey began in childhood, honed through formal training at the School of Fine Arts for Children run by Odessa Grekov Art College. Since moving to the U.S., she has continued to refine her skills, particularly through plein air painting across New England.

For those who cherish the stunning landscapes of Plum Island, you’ll be delighted to know that Oksana draws significant inspiration from our very own refuge. Her work truly brings the beauty of our natural surroundings to life.
Don’t miss this opportunity to experience Oksana Zotkina’s breathtaking art. Her work will be on display at the Parker River Visitor Center, located at 5 Plum Island Turnpike, Newburyport, MA, throughout the entire month of April. Come and be inspired by the beauty of Parker River and Plum Island, as seen through the eyes of a talented artist. A specific painting to look for is one of Bar Head at Plum Island’s Sandy Point.
